The LDRG forms part of the Section of Developmental Psychiatry in the
Department of Psychiatry, which is itself part of the School of
Biological, Medical and Veterinary Sciences http://www.biomed.cam.ac.uk/gradschool/prospective . We welcome applications for post-graduate research degrees.
Applications are made through the Board of Graduate Studies, which is
responsible for the admission process including arranging a place for
the student at one of the Colleges. Applicants are strongly
recommended to refer to the latest Graduate Studies Prospectus http://www.admin.cam.ac.uk/univ/gsprospectus/
There are two aspects that applicants must consider:
• Whether there is a suitable research project available
• Whether you can meet the academic (including competence in English) and financial requirements.
The process is as follows:
STEP 1
• Find a suitable research degree course (M.Phil. or Ph.D.)
• Identify a suitable research project. The Research and People
pages list the interests of the LDRG, but we welcome other ideas
• Contact possible supervisors(s) to discuss the project. All those
listed on the People page as Principal Investigators are able to accept
post-graduate students; some of the Research Associates will do so too.
STEP 2
• Ensure you meet the academic and financial requirements
• Choose possible Colleges
• Obtain an application pack and study the Graduate Studies Prospectus.
STEP 3
• Send application to the Board of Graduate Studies. Please note
that the Board of Graduate Studies will not accept applicants until
they have been accepted by the Department of Psychiatry, following an
interview.
PhD Research Studentships available. Please click link for further details and information about how to apply.
